Franceli L. Cibrian is a Mexican Researcher working as an Assistant Professor at the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler School of Engineering at Chapman University.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education (CICESE) in Mexico. I worked under the supervision of Dr. Monica Tentori. I have a background in Computer System Engineering and specific training in software engineering.
My primary research interests focus on the design, development, and evaluation of ubiquitous interactive technology to support the development of children, particularly, children with special needs.
I have experience in human-computer interaction and interaction design, with a specific focus on interactive surfaces, and educational and therapeutic interventions for children.
During my Ph.D. studies, I did a stay in the Design Lab at UC San Diego, and in the UCL Interaction Center at University College London.
